What barangay and LGU financial programs are, and how they differ from national ones
When most Filipinos think of government financial help, they think of national agencies: SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, or DSWD's 4Ps. Those programs run the same way no matter where you live, because a national law and a national budget fund them. Local government financial programs work differently. They're funded, designed, and run by your own barangay, city, or municipality, using its own share of national taxes and locally generated revenue, which means what exists, how generous it is, and how easy it is to access can vary enormously from one LGU to the next.
