How crowdfunding actually works, from the fundraiser's side

Crowdfunding means raising money by collecting many small contributions from a large number of people, usually strangers, instead of getting one big check from a bank, an investor, or a single wealthy relative. A campaign page explains the need, sets a target amount, and lets anyone with a card or an e-wallet chip in, from ₱100 to ₱100,000.
