Your rights and minimum wage under the Kasambahay Law
Republic Act 10361, the Domestic Workers Act or Kasambahay Law, is the foundation everything else in this course builds on. It covers anyone employed in a household to perform domestic work, whether called a kasambahay, yaya, caregiver, cook, gardener, or family driver, and it applies whether the work is full time or part time and whether the worker lives inside the employer's household or not. Knowing this law exists, and that it's a real, enforceable set of rights rather than just a suggestion, is the starting point for planning any part of your finances around this kind of work.
