Budgeting for pregnancy and delivery costs
A pregnancy comes with real costs long before the baby actually arrives, and many of them start well before anyone feels financially ready. Prenatal checkups with a private ob-gyn typically run somewhere around ₱1,500 to ₱3,000 per visit, more when an ultrasound or lab work is added, and a full-term pregnancy usually means eight or more of these visits, spaced more frequently as the due date approaches since the third trimester alone often calls for a checkup every two weeks.
