Why financing graduate school is a different problem than undergrad
Undergraduate college planning, covered elsewhere on this site, is mostly about a family preparing years in advance for a child's first degree. Graduate and professional school, an MBA, law school, medical school, a master's or doctoral program, is usually a very different financial decision. It's typically a choice an adult makes for themselves, often already earning an income, already carrying obligations like rent, a car amortization, or dependents of their own, and weighing whether to pause or reduce that income for one to several years in exchange for a credential meant to raise it afterward.
