What sector investing means

Sector investing means thinking about your money in terms of what part of the economy it's exposed to, banks, property developers, miners, telecoms, rather than picking a favorite individual company and researching it in isolation. Instead of asking "is this one stock a good buy," you start by asking "which parts of the economy do I want more or less exposure to," and let that shape which companies or funds you actually hold.
